The Hard Rock Hotel Casino opened in 1995 with two roulette tables. The inaugural chips indicated either of the two table numbers at the bottom of the their "golden treble with flames" design.
One year later in 1996 Hard Rock added a third roulette table and removed the original chips from service. The new second-issue chips had three designs, this one with the same gold design as the inaugural chips (but no table number) and then two others using a silver tone instead of gold.
These second-issue "gold flames" variations are arguably the most highly sought-after Hard Rock roulette chips after the first-issue 1995 series.
